Kenny Loggins in “High Adventure”

Been sleeping on this album for decades.
Firstly, look at that cover photo. Imagine waking up to that every morning. Got me feeling all Marcia Brady. Dreamy.
Blinded by the hits – “Don’t Fight It” (ftg Steve Perry) and “Heart To Heart” (ftg Michael McDonald) – I naively missed out on the gems supporting Kenny Loggins’ 5th solo album.
The fact that it was released in 1979 alone should have clued me in that this one was a winner. Most of the records in my collection from that year are stellar.
This album is a pleasure, and a precursor to much of what was yet to come in 80’s rock.
Every song is hit worthy… wait. I spoke too soon. …
This closing track is not hit worthy. Kind of a bore.
Not enough to ruin the listen, though. It’s been on repeat for a few days, now.
These grooves will definitely be getting more wear moving forward.
